We celebrated 178 births in 2025! Our team attended 81 of these – 20 at home and 61 at the birth center  with 46 beautiful water births along the way. Both in and out of the hospital, we had a total of 99 boys and 79 girls.

This past year, Melissa attended 1 birth, Michelle attended 35, and Meredith attended 45. In addition, we supported 97 families whose babies were born in the hospital. We are deeply grateful to have walked alongside each of these families during pregnancy and, for many, through part of their labor as well. Our continued collaboration with local hospitals and the high level of coordinated care they provide remains something we truly value.

We were thrilled to care again for 60 returning families who previously welcomed siblings with Celebrate Birth. Thank you for placing your trust in us once more.

Angelo Lorenzo kicked off 2025 as our very first baby, born at home on January 5th at 2:27am, weighing 7 lb 5 oz. Just 55 minutes later, we attended another home birth when Truitt Cole arrived at 3:22am, tipping the scales at 9 lb 11 oz. (Huge thanks to Melissa for stepping out of semi-retirement to help us make that happen!) Those two births win the prize for being the closest deliveries of the year!

We had three babies larger than 10 pounds this past year, but our largest was especially close to our hearts: Melissa’s own grandbaby, Adler Boone, who made his entrance at an impressive 10 lb 9 oz.

January earned the title of our busiest month overall, with 20 babies born both in and out of the hospital. For out-of-hospital births, January, May, and June had a three-way tie for our busiest month, each with 10 deliveries. Over the course of the year, we delivered two babies within 24 hours on 17 occasions, including 10 times on the very same day. Our single busiest day was February 3rd, when three babies were born at the birth center!

Altogether, we welcomed 190 new clients in 2025, and we can’t wait to meet so many of their babies in 2026.

Our care doesn’t end with the delivery of your sweet little one, though! Our lactation department has been thriving and it has been such a joy this past year to help so many families achieve their feeding goals – whatever those goals might be.

In 2025, our lactation team supported 253 babies through an incredible 546 lactation consults. From brand-new newborns to older infants working through feeding challenges, these visits reflected just how much ongoing, individualized support families often need after birth.

While many of these families welcomed their babies with Celebrate Birth, we’re proud that a significant portion of our lactation care extends beyond our own birth clients. We love being a trusted resource throughout the community, partnering with parents wherever they gave birth and meeting them exactly where they are on their feeding journey.

From the first prenatal visit to feeding support long after birth, it’s a privilege to care for families at every stage – and we can’t wait to do it all again in 2026!
