As we reflect on the past year at Celebrate Birth, our hearts are full. What a joy and privilege it has been to walk alongside so many growing families throughout their pregnancy and birth journeys. Thank you to all of our incredible clients for making 2024 truly unforgettable!
Melissa delivered 9, Michelle delivered 34, Meredith delivered 16, and Kat delivered 29.
This past year, we cared for 112 families who delivered their babies in the hospital. We are honored to have been a part of all of these pregnancies as well and for the opportunity to support many of them through a portion of their labor. We continue to be grateful for our working relationship with the local hospitals and the excellent collaborative care they provide for our clients.
We welcomed back 65 clients who had previously delivered siblings with Celebrate Birth and we would like to thank them for trusting us again with their care.
Casiano Apolinar was the first baby of 2024, born at the birth center on January 1st at 11:09am weighing 8#9.2oz. Our first home birth baby was Levi Christian, born January 11th at 10:16am weighing 6#5oz.
August was our busiest month with a total of 27 babies born both in and out of the hospital. January was our busiest month for birth center and home births with 11 babies born out of the hospital with our midwives.
14 times this past year we delivered 2 babies within 24 hours of each other, and 6 of those times were on the same calendar day.
August 9th was certainly a popular day to be born – we also had two families deliver in the hospital that same day!
Our closest deliveries happened on March 29th when we welcomed 2 babies at the birth center within just 35 minutes of each other! (Allie Jo at 7:01am weighing 8#6oz and Dustin James at 7:36am weighing 9#10oz)
We had 6 babies born weighing 10 pounds or more this year. Our largest baby was Enrique, born at the birth center on May 4th at 6:55am weighing 11#1oz. Wow!
We saw a total of 208 new clients in 2024 and we look forward to meeting many of those babies in 2025!
