It doesn’t matter if you are a first time mom, or someone coming in for her fifth pregnancy, everyone wants to know the most important items to have for postpartum! It makes sense, planning for your postpartum needs in advance can help save time and energy you would rather be using to sleep, eat, work on your breastfeeding relationship, or just snuggle your new baby! Why not get all the necessities you need before baby comes, that way you don’t have to worry about it at all after baby is born?!
That is where Celebrate Birth comes in! We like to make things easy on our moms, so we spent some time doing research on the most important items to have in the postpartum period. We also asked all of our social media followers to give us their ideas and they didn’t disappoint! Check out our ultimate list of postpartum must-haves below!
Of course, #1 on our list will always be: Your midwife! Your midwife is an incredibly important part of your postpartum care. Your midwife will schedule your follow-up visits after the birth – you’ll see her when the baby is 2 days old, then again at 2 weeks, and finally at 6 weeks old. She will help with breastfeeding, answer any questions, or provide any information you might need to help you transition smoothly into motherhood. Midwifery care is special because it is customized to YOU.
