Lactation Consultations

Lactation support at Celebrate Birth is available to everyone in our community, regardless of where they have chosen to receive prenatal care or deliver their baby. We are proud to staff International Board Certified Lactation Consultants who have undergone advanced training in oral function, restrictions, and habilitation of the newborn baby. Our caring IBCLCs are ready to listen, assess, and create a unique feeding plan that best fits both you and your baby’s needs. Whether your goal is to breastfeed for 1 week, 1 month, 1 year, or beyond, you have our support!

Pregnant or adopting and planning to breastfeed? This package includes registration to our Breastfeeding Basics class and a private 1-hour consultation to discuss your breastfeeding goals, address potential problems, and to help you plan for a successful start to your breastfeeding journey.

$120 – 1 hour consult (includes class fee)

This private consultation includes a breast assessment, newborn exam, and latch evaluation. The specialist will address potential problems and offer solutions to resolve them. Together, you will discuss your goals and create a plan for your breastfeeding journey.

$100-140 – 60-90 min

Established clients who have completed an Initial Consult can schedule a Follow-Up Visit with us to review their progress from the prior visit and address any new concerns that may have developed.

$75-110 – 45-60 min

In a flange fitting consultation, the specialist will properly measure your nipple to determine what size is best for you, assess the comfort and function of your current flanges, help you try other sizes if necessary, and provide general tips about your pump for maximum effectiveness.

$50 – 30 min

Tele-Health Lactation Support – Easily Accessible, High-Quality Care

Through our tele-health program, parents can receive expert lactation support and guidance from their own home, eliminating the added time and stress of traveling with a newborn while promoting a more comfortable postpartum healing and recovery period. These one-on-one consultations are available nation-wide on a secure platform.

All types of consultations are available through this program and same self-pay rates apply. Many insurance plans accepted as well.

This free drop-in clinic offers an opportunity for mothers to chat casually with a lactation specialist while weighing their babies before and after a feeding. General questions can be answered at this time to help determine whether a personalized consult might be helpful. Or, just come on by just for the weighted feed and a heavy dose of encouragement!
