2016 was a great year for celebrating birth! In addition to our clients who saw us for prenatal care prior to a planned hospital delivery, we helped to welcome 48 sweet babies into this wonderful world of ours. Here are our statistics for the year… with a few fun facts thrown in!
Out of the 48 births, Melissa attended 24, Michelle attended 23, and Amy attended 1.
34 babies were born at our birth center and 14 babies were born at home.
The girls ruled our world! 27 girls, 21 boys.
The first baby of 2016 was also our earliest of the day – Magnolia was born on January 5th at 12:21am.
The latest baby of the day was Kinza who was born at 11:42pm on September 14th.
The last baby of 2016 was Kicker who was born at 1:40pm on December 30th.
April, August, and September tied for our busiest months with 6 babies each. July was our slowest month with 1 baby.
The closest births we attended were exactly 12 hours apart – Annabelle was born at 2:35pm on December 11th and Ava was born at 2:35am on December 12th.
We had a tie for the biggest baby! Irelan on May 10th and Conner on September 24th were both 9 pounds 8 ounces. Our smallest baby was Azariah who was 5 pounds 10 ounces, born on September 12th.
